I discovered a great recipe for divine
cinnamon rolls at
pioneer woman cooks. I followed the recipe exactly, except I omitted the coffee in the frosting and added vanilla and a little more butter in its place. And I halved the recipe. It still made two cake pans worth of rolls. I wonder if you could make the whole batch and freeze some of the dough?
Anyway, give them a try and let me know what you think.

Why, those look like a work of art. I'm going to have to try them a little closer to Christmas time.
I did a test run on them today to see if they would work out. They were wonderful. Thanks for the recipe. I made the same substitutions.
I tried substituting cranberry juice for the coffee. I also made a full batch to give neighbors but split the icing in half. It turned out yummy. I really wanted orange juice for the frosting, but I wanted to not go to the store for just that more.
Hey I love that website. I saw those and thought about making it, but it seems a little overwhelming to me because I have never made bread before, ok never made bread that worked before. I made some on the mish and they turned out hard as rocks. My excuse is Spanish yeast is different, it really is.
I am so glad that you posted this. I am making cinnamon rolls for Christmas morning and have not been happy with the recipes that I have. I will have to try this recipe.
