Happy St. Patty's Day!

A happy St. Pat's Day to all my peeps.
We enjoyed a festively green meal: corned beef, potatoes, cabbage, peas, green Kool-Aid, green salad and of course green Jell-O with green grapes and green peeps for dessert.

A fun day for us all.

Fun! James even has the red hair to make him look Irish. I couldn't tell in the picture, is his hair still really red, or is it "fading"? I can't believe he is old enough to be in a high chair, wasn't he just born last month :)

I used to make corned beef every other year because it took me two years to forget that Alex hates it. But I like it enough to eat once a year, so one of these years I'll do it again.

You set such a lovely table!

You are the best mom ever. I would have loved this as a kid. Lane made green eggs and ham for me once.

Fun, fun! I made the Kalua pig and it was a hit! Thanks for the recipe. However, I don't know how to make sticky rice... I tried to look it up online and it took me to a dirty website, so I gave up. Clue me in? By the way, peeps are disgusting! My sisters ward is having a cooking competition where the dessert must have peeps in it. You could have entered yours!

what a fun dessert contest idea. sticky rice is short grain rice, regular rice is long grain. i usually use calrose rice, but you could also use jasmine or there are other short grain rices out there. Calrose is probably the most readily available.

Costco has the best price around on Calrose Rice, if you don't mind buying it in 50lbs. You can get 50 lbs for the price of about 15 to 20 at the grocery store.
